Xilica Designer: software
The universal PC and Mac platform and integrated Dante configuration and third-party device control are among the strengths of Xilica Designer software.
As an integral part of the Xilica family, the Xilica Designer software was developed to provide the optimal configuration of the Solaro, Neutrino and Uno family of processors, but it is also configured with Xilica's programmable remote control to configure and manage any networked Dante device and - in the future - to provide generalized third-party device control integration.
Xilica Designer software includes two active universal components. The first universal platform allows deployment of new Xilica Designer software on a user's Windows PC or Mac. The second universal Dante configuration allows universal configuration and management of any brand of Dante interface device on the market.
Configuration of other manufacturers' Dante devices is possible using two methods. Users can choose from a growing list of Dante interface product brands that have populated the Xilica Designer menu, including devices from Attero Tech, Bose, RCF, RDL and Yamaha.
Additionally, for those Dante interface product brands not included in the menu, Xilica offers a Universal Dante Device Module that can be configured and converted to any Dante device brand connected to the Dante network.
Xilica is developing and will add a third generic component in the form of a generic third-party device control integration (Generic Protocol Control). Described as Xilica Designer's most important Universal Component, once fully active, this component will make it simple to drag and drop popular AV product branding models from menus into the Designer software and into each product branding module - dragging and dropping any or all of the controls that can be used with any of Xilica's programmable remote control options (wired touch controls, wireless iOS/Android control devices, etc.). Xilica Designer is widely recognized as being easy to learn and use and therefore does not require extensive training, and can therefore be implemented quickly and directly through the integrator community.
