With Dante adoption expected to grow significantly over the next few years, Xilica offers extensive support for the networking technologies in its range. For example, the Rio family of Dante-enabled I/O interfaces not only provides additional flexibility for Dante-enabled Solaro-N, Neutrino-N, and Uno-N processor models, but also offers additional functionality as standalone interface devices. Dante-enabled brands.
When the Rio Series is used with Dante-enabled Xilica processors, users can configure and manage all Dante devices from within the Xilica Designer software, eliminating the need for Dante Controller software.
The Rio series currently features five interface models. The latest Rio models include the R22-P, R44-P, R22-WP-X and R22-WP-M models, which join the original Rio R1616-N and R1616-NX models. All models offer bi-directional Dante network audio transfer - analog audio input, conversion and transfer via network cable as well as Dante network audio to analog audio breakout.
The R22-P (2×2 I / O) and R44-P (4×4 I / O) models offer a variety of mounting options and are 1/4 rack mount Dante interface units. The front panels of both models offer a choice of mic or line inputs for each input and Dip switches for 48V phantom power, as well as RJ45 Dante network audio connectors with power and network status LEDs.
The rear of each model provides two or four analog audio outputs on 3.81mm Euro connectors and 12VDC external power connections. An external power supply is included, but PoE can also be used to power the unit.
Elsewhere in the range, the R22-WP-X and R22-WP-M models are 2×2 analog / 2×2 Dante I / O interface panels on 2-group sized recessed or surface-mounted wallplates (including surface-mounted back boxes) ). The R22-WP-X wall plate model provides XLR analog I/O connections only, while the R22-WP-M model provides XLR, dual RCA (a mix of L + R summing) and stereo 3.5mm (L + R summing) analog I/O connections. Both models can be powered using a PoE switch or router, or via the included external power supply.
Finally, the R1616-N is a full-size, 1RU, 19" rackmount Dante interface that provides 16 x 16 I/O channels of Dante network audio and 16 x 16 I/O channels of analog audio on Phoenix connectors, and the R1616 -NX model is 2RU in height and provides XLR I/O connections.
As a whole, the Rio Series can easily support the most complex Dante-based network environments.
Benefits
- Allows additional Dante I/O functionality and independent input potential for Xilica and non-Xilica manufactured products
- Drive BYOD in the workplace or on campus with remote plug-and-play I/O solutions such as Rio's low-cost wall plates
- Create custom I/O endpoints in multiple rooms, allowing Dante's speakers, recorders and amplifiers to be enabled for expansion and overflow capabilities
- Dramatically increase I/O count with Rio Stage Boxes - ideal for installations handling challenging live sound requirements or large conference/broadcast events
